Sally Eisner’s Personal Reflection

In the Sally Eisner’s Personal Reflection, she is talking about her experience when she and her brother were hiding during the Holocaust. First of all, Sally Eisner says that she was born Sally Baran in Poland. She lived with her parents and her only brother. She adds that her father was very intelligent. Also, that she and her brother had a very happy life until it was utterly ended by the Nazis. In addition, Ms. Eisner from the bottom of her heart says that the saddest day in her life was the day that she lost her parents. It was in July 1943.

Second of all, Ms. Eisner claims that one incident that she would not forget is that in December 1943, her brother and she were hiding with a Gentile family. Eisner took care of their baby and did handiwork while her brother helped in the yard. Soon after that, everything was wonderful until Eisner saw two horses coming through the street; she immediately thought that someone told them that she and her brother were in that house. Then, they were hiding under the huge peasant bed while the two men were entering the home. However, they did not see anybody. Therefore, they were convinced that nobody was under the bed and they went outside. Finally, Leon, Sally Eisner’s husband and her brother were the only family of Sally. Also, now Sally and her husband are parents and grandparents.

This is a good Personal Reflection because in it Sally Eisner explains every detail clearly and she gives us two horrible experiences that she had to confront, which were so difficult. I like at the end because it has a happy ending.
