Beautiful Mind (use yours)

This is a beautiful Saturday. The weather is warm, so people can go to the park and talk to someone. Here is the park, a beautiful and green park. Next to it, is the blue sea; you can see the sky, white clouds and the sun reflected through the sea. In a little bench where people can seat in the park, Plato is resting alone. The day before, he saw a movie titled Harvey. Also, he read a short story titled “The Handsomest Drowned Man in the World. A Tale for Children.” In the park while he is took a seat on the bench, he is thinking about the movie and the short story:

Plato: “Hello Harvey, how you doing?”
Harvey: I am fine.
Plato: You know what, Harvey?
Harvey: What?
Plato: I saw the movie where you are the main character; I think that it is a great movie because you represent God. Also, I know that you are a 6 feet 3 inch rabbit. You are also Elwood’s imaginary friend.
Harvey: Yes, thanks! I like the way you think because you have great ideas, but I do not like one idea that you have.
Plato: Which one?
Harvey: You said that you do not believe in illusion.
Plato: Wow! Look at that! What is it?
Harvey: Oh! Maybe it is a big whale.

Plato and Harvey are walking together to see what is the object floating on the sea.

Plato: Oh my goodness! He is Esteban.
Harvey: What you talking about? Do you know him?
Plato: Yes, he is the handsomest drowned man in the world.
Harvey: What! Are you crazy or something? He looks terrible, huge and ugly to me.
Plato: No, don’t say that, you are crazy, he is very famous in a village and he becomes the obsession of the villagers
Harvey: I don’t think so. He looks horrible.

Then Plato helps Esteban to sit him on the bench and start a conversation among them. However, Harvey is not happy about it.

Plato: So tell me, Esteban, what’s going on?
Esteban: Nothing Plato, I am tired of that village. Those villagers are crazy; they always say things about me and I don’t like that. This makes me feel embarrassed.
Plato: I know how you feel. Those villagers use you, replacing what they don’t have. For example, the kids don’t have toys. Therefore, they use you as a toy.
Harvey: Wow! That maybe is boring right, Esteban?
Esteban: Of course!
Plato: Come on, Harvey! You have the same problem, because Elwood uses you because he is alone and he needs a friend.
Harvey: I know, but it is different.
Esteban: It is the same thing.
Plato: By the way, where do you come from, Esteban?
Esteban: Well, I really do not remember well who I am or where I come from.
Harvey: This happens to me because I don’t know how someone can create me.
Plato: It also happens to all human beings, so don’t worry about it.
They are talking about many themes. Harvey and Esteban have a good relationship as friends, but Plato is not happy about them and decides to go and leave them alone.
Plato: Okay, I have to go. I have something more important to do.
Harvey and Esteban: Okay!
One hour later, Harvey and Esteban are still talking and Plato comes back.
Harvey: Oh! You came back Plato.
Esteban: Come on! Take a seat.
Plato: No, thanks! I just want to say that I don’t believe in either of you because you are illusions and I don’t believe in illusions.
Harvey: Okay, but why or how are talking to us?
Plato: I am just using my imagination.
Esteban: Therefore, using your imagination can you believe that something is real?
